This position has a $20,000 sign-on bonus. This position is Full-time day Shift either 6:00am to 2:30pm or 6am to 5pm.

Responsibilities

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Circulating Operating Room (OR) Registered Nurse to join our dynamic surgical team at Providence Medical Center in Kansas City, KS. As a crucial member of the perioperative team, the Circulating OR Nurse plays a vital role in ensuring patient safety and effective communication among surgical staff. Key Responsibilities:

  • Patient Assessment: Conduct thorough pre-operative assessments and ensure patient readiness for surgery.
  • Coordination of Care: Communicate effectively with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other OR staff to facilitate seamless surgical procedures.
  • Environment Management: Prepare and maintain a sterile environment by overseeing the setup of instruments, equipment, and supplies.
  • Documentation: Accurately document all surgical activities and patient care information in electronic health records.
  • Patient Advocacy: Serve as the advocate for the patient's well-being, ensuring their comfort and safety during procedures.
  • Resource Management: Manage and organize surgical inventory, ensuring all necessary materials are available.
  • Emergency Response: Act promptly and efficiently in emergencies, adhering to established protocols and procedures.

Qualifications

Education and Work Experience

1. Current and valid state RN license.

2. Current BLS (AHA or ARC) certificate upon hire and maintain current.

3. Current ACLS (AHA or ARC) certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.

4. Certified Nurse OR (CNOR) Certification (AORN) preferred

5. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
