Boston Children's Hospital's Cardiology unit is seeking to hire a Patient Experience Representative. This position primarily involves behind-the-scenes work, including heavy use of Epic (training provided), and generating reports for 80+ doctors. Strong attention to detail and quick response times are essential for success in this role. The Patient Experience Representative will provide administrative support for clinical services under close supervision and work to enhance the patient experience by efficiently coordinating services for patients and their families. The role also requires a demonstrated interest in contributing to departmental and organizational projects, with a focus on continuous process improvement.

*PER Positions are currently eligible for a Sign-on Bonus of $2,000 for full time positions*

This Patient Experience Representative is 100% in person and will be responsible for:

  • Patient Encounter Management:
    • Providing positive and effective customer service that supports unit operations
    • Collaborating with referring providers and practices
    • Obtaining required authorizations to compile patient and staff schedules
    • Scheduling patients and supporting the patient encounter
  • Administrative:
  • Recording and relaying messages, prioritizing urgent calls for information or services, and initiating emergency service calls when necessary.
  • Utilizing Epic to provide administrative support to doctors.
  • Generating reports in Epic and promptly responding to doctor requests.
  • Offering general clerical assistance as needed.

To qualify, you must have:

  • A high school level of education, Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • Healthcare Administration experience preferred
  • High attention to detail
  • The ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing and provide empathy in difficult interpersonal situations
  • The ability to work with diverse internal and external constituencies

Schedule: 8:30-5 M-F
