Description

Millennium Health LLC is an accredited specialty laboratory with more than a decade of experience in medication monitoring and drug testing services, helping clinicians monitor the use and misuse of prescription medications and illicit drugs. The testing is used by healthcare professionals to obtain objective information about patients' recent use of prescription medications and/or illicit drugs and helps monitor the effectiveness of treatment plans.

Software Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer will develop, publish, and implement acceptance test plans for complex, multi-tier, distributed, web applications throughout the full lifecycle of the software.

The following are intended to be examples of the accountabilities for which the person in this position is responsible. This position is not intended to be complete or all-inclusive and does not preclude management from assigning other or related functions for which the individual has demonstrated competency through performance.

  • Work cross-functionally to ensure individual quality and testing needs are met. Update status regularly during testing cycles.
  • Develop the testing expertise and grow the skill level of each of your team members in directions that suit them individually.
  • Implement quality assurance practices and procedures, acceptance test plans, and other QA assessments.
  • Document standards and best practices
  • Ensure that all items follow the change management process and are entered and tracked through the change management software.
  • Work directly with appropriate personnel to understand project concepts, objectives, and approaches of software development projects.
  • Help to define the scope of all levels of QA testing.
  • Participate in all aspects of testing, including functional, regression, load, and system testing.
  • Responsible for the quality of features you test.
  • Establish the purpose and deliverables of the test effort.
  • Identify, escalate, and help resolve issues that impede the test effort such as missing resources, etc.
  • Ensure the intent of a requirement is satisfied.
  • Collaborate with development during all stages of projects to provide in-process testing results.
  • Track and adequately report defects using appropriate tools to allow developers to resolve the problem.
  • Track and troubleshoot issues reported by users when help desk personnel are out of the office or not available.
  • Help troubleshoot issues with help desk personnel.
  • Regular and reliable attendance

  • Ability to ensure HIPAA, Confidentiality, and Compliance policies, procedures, and standards are always adhered to.
  • Ability to ensure administrative, physical, and technical cyber security controls are always adhered to.
Requirements

Qualifications

  • BS degree preferably in Computer Science or Information Systems, Masters Preferred

Experience

  • 5+ years of experience testing web-based, distributed applications on Windows platforms
  • Experience writing acceptance test plans or test scripts based on requirements and specification documents
  • Experience documenting issues and working with developers to resolve issues
  • HIPAA compliance experience
  • HL7 interface testing experience
  • Lab information system experience
  • Experience with Subversion or equivalent configuration management tools

Potential Hiring Range:

  • Salary Range: $75,000-$100,000/ year
  • Salary offered is dependent on qualifications, experience, and geographical location.
