Basic Function The Managing Advisor's role is to manage a team of advisors in a matrixed structure to be utilized across all business sectors. This position ensures that a qualified talent pipeline is available for planned workload, qualified for assignments, and the performance managed for optimal utilization. The Managing Advisor is accountable for the timeliness of his team deliverables and develops the scope of work of commercial proposals for clients in consultation with Business Units (BU) and Performance Solutions Managers. This role also develops leads for follow-up client services and engagements. Responsibilities Project Management
- Ensures that the quality and timeliness of Solomon studies, services, products, and solutions delivered by the team of advisors.
Functions as a Program Manager for major projects, and/or Project Manager for assigned projects. Deliver executive presentation to for the major Solomon studies and/or Performance Improvement Projects Enables team to complete analysis of client data to determine performance. Develops products and programs and work with clients to facilitate performance improvement. Enables team to review client data to improve accuracy and consistency of data quality.
Team Management
Manages a team of advisors to include hiring, maintaining a talent pipeline, workload planning, billability, succession planning, training, career development, performance management, mentoring/coaching, employee engagement, diversity and inclusion, and onboarding of new and transferring employees.

Resource Planning
Provides project management, including resource and cost forecasting using enterprise resource planning (ERP) system, resource planning, and negotiation for resources with Solutions Delivery Manager.

Work Experience Required:
15+ years of experience in Refining, Chemical Manufacturing, Upstream, or Power operations 15+ years of experience as a consultant or in an engineering-based position in an operating company in a management or technical position Experience with proposal development, particularly in the definition of the scope of work, deliverables, timeline, and project execution plan. Demonstrated experience in delivering consulting projects, coordinating a diverse group of individual contributors. Demonstrated experience in engaging and communicating to senior leadership. Demonstrated active involvement in development of commercial proposal. Sustained and demonstrated excellent performance.

Demonstrated talent management skills, including the ability to identify and develop product management talent Strong business strategy and revenue generation results to include creating, executing, and driving the advisor team's goals and targets Understanding of business operations, key performance metrics, and the ability to align data analysis with strategic business objectives Demonstrated ability to explain complex technical solutions benefits at a high level, especially those benefits tailored to decision makers Understanding of the nuances of working with clients from multiple social, ethnic, cultural and business backgrounds Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to include verbal, written, public speaking, listening and superior presentation skills with an executive presence Delivery of high quality work product using Solomon documentation standards as appropriate Experiencing building strong client relationships and delivering client-centric solutions Ability to effectively collaborate within a matrixed organization to drive both BU and Corporate objectives Effectively and efficiently navigate workflows and processes to accomplish work and recommend improvements Proficient in Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel , and PowerPoint Proven track record of continuous improvement and creating new and better ways for the organization to be successful Creative and curious problem solver, able to take an ambiguous and complex need and develop data/analytics solutions Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to plan ahead Strong critical thinking ability to objectively analyze information and draw rational conclusions Ability to make sound and timely decisions that considers all relevant factors, criteria, risks, and implications Understanding of business operations, key performance metrics, and the ability to align data analysis with strategic business objectives Knowledge of engineering calculations; spreadsheet or database expert user Demonstrated ability to translate data and information into practical solutions and recommendations Ability to present and provide insightful analysis up to and including the C Suite of multinational companies and federal-level governmental agencies Extensive knowledge of one or more business unit sectors Knowledge of at least two Solomon products/solutions Operational knowledge of primary processing facilities
