Project Management Specialist
Purpose:
- Valkyrie Enterprises is seeking a Project Management Specialist to support the Surface Combat Systems Training Command (SCSTC) in Dahlgren, VA.
Job Description:
- Responsible for analysis of combat systems training program milestone progress and developing strategies and recommendations for maintaining and recovering schedule progress.
- Develops analysis reports regarding program progress and risks that can be utilized by decision makers to provide proper direction to teams executing projects.
- Assists the Program Manager in drafting, developing, and monitoring contract deliverables and records.
Qualifications:
- Must have a minimum of 3 years' experience in the application of project management methodologies.
- Must have the ability to coordinate and complete projects, set deadlines, and summarize responsibilities.
- Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office products, specifically MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Desired Qualifications:
- Technical writing skills and ability to proof-read technical documents.
- Financial accounting skills and ability to read and interpret Excel workbooks.
- Active Secret Clearance, preferred.
Security Requirements:
- Must have or be eligible to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance.
Travel Requirements:
- Minimal travel required.
- If position requires travel by domestic flight or access to secure federal facilities/military bases, candidate must be able to obtain (by start of position) and maintain appropriate identification credentials, such as REAL ID. Physical Requirements:
- Remaining in a stationary position, often standing, or sitting for prolonged periods.
- Moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one worksite to another.
- Communicating with others to exchange information and repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers.

Pay Range: $65,000 - $75,000 per year
