A Senior Engineer role currently available at Belcan in Centennial, CO. This is a contract, 3 month position with benefits. To be considered for this role, you must be a US citizen.

The Senior Engineer is responsible for overseeing the technical execution of one to many projects and tasks in varying areas such as application development, application support, systems administration, business intelligence, network administration and others. In addition to coordination and oversight of technical tasks during the execution phase of the project, the Senior Engineer will be responsible for gathering and documenting customer requirements by interviewing and understanding customer needs. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of practices and terminology in order to be knowledgeable enough to know when to raise questions in order to correctly drive the project execution tasks to completion. The candidate will need to be bright, imaginative, and a capable technologist with strong communication skills, specifically seeking an environment where they will impact the direction of the organization, and be a key contributor to overall success of the business.

JOB DUTIES:
- Inform the project team of defects and errors where necessary.
- Communicate both quantitative and qualitative findings from test results to the project team.
- Provide support for multiple development/non-production environments which span physical, virtual, & cloud technologies.
- Ensuring that the final product fully satisfies both product requirements and end-user expectations (aka First Time Right)
- Work closely with our team - to employ your expertise in software/application support, systems administration, and virtualization to ensure our systems are secure, efficient, and scalable.
- Work with clients onsite to understand their technological needs and assist with their user acceptance testing processes.
- Strong skills in the documentation and creation of IT processes/procedures.
- Conduct gap analysis, redesign business processes, develop roadmaps and proofs-of-concept.
- Participate in testing efforts, including the design and execution of an overall test strategy.
- Strategic Alignment with Business Relationship Managers and stakeholders to define requirements.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
* Bachelor's Degree in a related field with at least 6 or more years of relevant experience
* Higher education may substitute for relevant experience
* Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of required education

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:
* Ability to analyze business systems and/or business processes to identify user needs,
document requirements, and address process improvements
* Scrum Master certification, or equivalent experience to obtain such certification
Strong knowledge of requirements documentation tools such as Visio, Word, Excel, Jira,
and/or Azure DevOps
* Experience with data mapping and documentation of system integration metadata and
touchpoints necessary for implementation
* Basic experience with writing SQL and understanding the basics of table querying for use
in documenting data requirements
* Strong knowledge of project planning and execution, using tools such as MS Project
* Understanding of analysis and software development lifecycle methodologies
* Strong presentation, facilitation, collaboration, negotiation and influencing skills
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze business requirements,
ensuring alignment with Agile methodologies and principles

We provide a competitive pay and benefits package. This position is offering a salary range of $43.82 - $79.70 hourly. Belcan considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to education, experience, geographic location, and discipline.
