This position requires an active Secret clearance, US Citizen, on site office at Dayton, OH.



Responsibilities

The Systems Engineer will provide support to the customer by consulting with customers to evaluate functional requirements and translate functional requirements into technical solutions. You will work as part of a team with other contractors, government civilians, and military personnel in an agile environment.

Responsibilities:

The Systems Engineer duties may include:

    Supporting requirements definition and coordinating with GOV and contractor stakeholders to develop and implement IT solutions.
  • Documenting data exchanges and requirements to support Logistics and Sustainment activities to include provisioning and cataloging, logistics product data, and requisitions/fills.
  • Identifying and documenting structured and unstructured data (different formats/structure/file types) and document an approach to enable DoD organizations to upload, search, and access relevant supply chain and maintenance data for future data mining actions (data manipulations, analytics, etc.).
  • Determining and document data sharing pathways and bilateral agreements.
  • Addressing intellectual property and technical data matters to enable supply support and maintenance planning.
  • Providing technical support and solutioning to government data requirements out of prime vendor systems.
  • Conducting risk analysis, feasibility study, and/or trade-off analysis to develop, document, and refine functional requirements and specifications.
  • Interact professionally with clients/internal teams; gather requirements and document the work in a ticketing system, designing and implementing new feature additions and improvements.
  • Utilize industry standard tools for project management, product requirements, and user documentation.
  • Work directly with the customer to gather requirements and product feedback for future iterations.
  • Support capabilities briefings and reports for military personnel.
  • Strong ability to analyze business requirements and create solutions.
  • Ability to troubleshoot problems and provide timely resolutions.
  • Clearly communicate with product owners to understand business concerns and demonstrate proposed solutions for acceptance.
  • High energy, enthusiasm, tact, ability to effectively interact with senior executives from Government and industry.
  • Ability to create and foster a cooperative work environment.
  • Self-directed, detail oriented in completing assigned tasks, able to adapt to changing work efforts and manage impact of shifting priorities.
  • Availability for occasional travel.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Core KSATs for DoD Cyber Workforce (DCWF):

  • Knowledge of computer networking concepts and protocols, and network security methodologies.
  • Knowledge of risk management processes (e.g., methods for assessing and mitigating risk).
  • Knowledge of national and international laws, regulations, policies, and ethics as they relate to cybersecurity.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity principles.
  • Knowledge of cyber threats and vulnerabilities.
  • Knowledge of specific operational impacts of cybersecurity lapses.
  • Knowledge of cloud computing service models Software as a Service (SaaS), Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), and Platform as a Service (PaaS).
  • Knowledge of cloud computing deployment models in private, public, and hybrid environment and the difference between on-premises and off-premises environments.


Qualifications

  • Active SECRET clearance.
  • DOD Cyber Workforce (DCWF) 8140 (641) System Requirements Planner role: A BS degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Information Systems, or Computer Science, from an ABET accredited or CAE designated institution fulfills the educational requirement for this WRC (conferred within 5 years or able to prove continuous relevant work experience) -OR- Personnel Certifications: FITSP-M or GSEC or CCSP or CFR or SSCP or Security+. If none, must be willing to obtain in first 30-days.
  • 7+ years of experience working within the DoD IT enterprise.
  • Experience in documenting data exchanges and requirements.
  • Experience in capabilities and requirements analysis.
  • Experience in information security systems engineering principles.
  • Experience in system life cycle management principles, including software security and usability.
  • Experience in conducting risk analysis, feasibility study, and/or trade-off analysis to develop, document, and refine functional requirements and specifications.
  • Experience in translating functional requirements into technical solutions.

The salary range displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is not a guarantee of compensation. Individual salaries are determined by various factors including, but not limited to location, internal equity, business considerations, client contract requirements, and candidate qualifications, such as education, experience, skills, and security clearances.

The salary range for this position is- $108,000-$193,000
