We have an opening for a Senior Manager, eBilling.

The Senior Manager, eBilling is responsible for managing all firm-wide ebilling functions and staff.

In this capacity, the Senior Manager, eBilling will:

  • Manage ebilling staffing, training and performance of all ebilling personnel firm-wide;
  • Manage onboarding for all clients moving to ebilling;
  • Manage new timekeepers on ebill clients;
  • Manage all tasks pertaining to the life cycle of an ebill, including appeals, budgets, timekeepers, shortpays and submissions;
  • Ensure all ebills firmwide are processed accurately, timely, and in accordance with the Client Billing Guidelines and the Firm's internal procedures;
  • Track and audit all ebill submissions to ensure all ebill AR is successfully submitted;
  • Develop and maintain collaboration between departments to ensure prompt payment of ebilled invoices;
  • Secure communications with billing attorneys and CSS's regarding adherence to clients' requirements;
  • Attend and participate in all Client Finance Committee calls, preparing ahead of time for any possible questions or requests;
  • Review current processes and suggests better methods or systems to improve firm revenue;
  • Work beyond scheduled hours as required, in particular at month end and year end; and
  • Handle additional related projects as necessary.

Proficiencies:

  • Advanced proficiency in administering windows and web-based accounting programs, particularly for legal-specific accounting systems (Elite);
  • Advanced proficiency in document management systems (WorkSite, FileSite, DeskSite, Equitrac);
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office Suite applications;
  • Advanced proficiency in eBill Hub or similar inventory tools and all ebilling vendors;
  • Advanced proficiency in financial forecasting programs (targetCash); and
  • Advanced knowledge of principles and practices of accounting.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance (preferred);
  • At least 5 years of experience in managing people, preferably in a large organization; Law firm experience (required);
  • At least 5 years of financial systems experience (required);
  • At least 10 years of general accounting experience (required); and
  • At least 10 years of legal billing experience (required).
