Sigma Defense is currently seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Huntsville, AL.

Requirements
  • 10+ years of experience in Mechanical Engineering/development of electro-mechanical systems.
  • Able to direct a team of machinists and equipment integrators.
  • Direct experience with machining and welding equipment.
  • Very experienced in using SolidWorks.
  • Intellectually agile, creative, open to different perspectives and new experiences.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Excellent organizational skills.

Personnel Clearance Level:

  • Candidate must possess or have the ability to obtain an active TS/SCI security clearance.
  • Clearance will be sponsored for the right candidate.

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Mechanical Engineering or related field of study.

Candidate Differentiators:

  • Experience in fabrication, operation, installation, and/or repair of mechanical products.
  • Experience with support of radar or high-power radio systems desired.
  • Former military personnel with 10+ years of maintenance and/or research and development experience.

Essential Job Duties (not all-inclusive):

  • Support programs related to Army electronic warfare systems.
  • Work in an informal, multidisciplinary team environment in Huntsville, AL.
  • Design, develop, support fabrication, and test mechanical components, equipment, and machinery with a strong emphasis on mathematical modeling and graphical modeling using SolidWorks.
  • Conduct product testing and support creation of models and prototypes working with on and off-site fabricators/machinists.
  • Collaborate cross functionally with Software and/or EE Engineers.
  • Provide engineering support for testing, product deployment, and updates.
  • Occasionally directed in several aspects of the work other than mechanical, thereby gaining exposure to additional disciplines and skill sets.
  • Occasional travel will be required to support newly deployed products (CONUS).

Salary Range: $95,000- $110,000 annually.
