Precise Systems seeks Defense Travel Office Support/Operations Analyst to provide direct support to NAVSEA Total Force & Corporate Operations Travel Office (SEA 10C1) provides Defense Travel System (DTS) advisory services to NAVSEA DTS Administrators in accordance with the DTS, Financial Improvement and Audit Readiness (FIAR) and Government Travel Charge Card (GTCC) policies.

Responsibilities & Duties



  • Provide administrative and analytical support services to the travel office, including monthly audit of travel reports and expense reports.
  • Provide administrative and analytical support services needed with the NAVSEA Defense Travel System (DTS) help desk.
  • * Provide support and resolution services to individual employees for DTS process and system issues.
  • Provide general travel policy guidance and direction, as needed.
  • Oversee DoD's Separation of Duties (SOD) requirements and ensure SODs of Departmental Accountable Officials, Approving/Certifying Officials (AO/CO) and travelers are always maintained.
  • Maintain DTS AO/CO requirements, including DD 577 Appointment/Termination Letters and Training Certificates.
  • Ensure AO training is completed annually.
  • Provide support for Transportation of People (TOP) Financial Improvement and Audit Readiness (FIAR) Sustainment (monthly un-submitted voucher reports and various data calls).
  • Provide monthly reconciliation of Centrally Billed Accounts (Invoices and Credit Card Statements).
  • Conduct monthly review of Government Travel Charge Card (GTCC) program and identify any potential misuse.
  • Ensure any GTCC increases are processed in a timely manner.
  • Activate/Deactivate cardholder accounts.
  • Maintain Statement of Understanding and cardholder training certificates.
  • Track and ensure all cardholders complete initial training and refresher training every three years.
  • Strive to maintain Navy goal of 2% for GTCC delinquencies by running monthly delinquency reports to ensure Cardholders pay outstanding balances on time.


Required Experience



  • Minimum of (1) one to (3) three years working knowledge of DTS and experience to effectively advise DTS administrators on travel matters as specified by DTS, FIAR, and GTCC regulations.
  • Work experience in federal government or military environments.
  • Ability to work under direction and independently, be self-motivated, and results oriented.
  • Possesses strong time-management skills, works efficiently, possess the ability to organize work, and effectively adjust to multiple and evolving priorities.
  • Strong attention to detail and applies critical thinking and has the ability to apply creative problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of personal computers with office applications to perform operations or to prepare complex documents containing tables or graphs; and use online HR resources to obtain information accessible over the Internet, as needed.
  • Skill with MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams, etc.).


Required Education:



  • Bachelor's Degree in related field. Professional experience that exceeds the minimum required may be considered as the equivalent of the degree requirement.


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Strong relationship development skills with the ability to operate as a team player and work with military personnel, government civilians, contractors, and administrative teams.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong customer service skills.


Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance. Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.

Compensation at Precise Systems is determined by various factors, including education, experience, skills, competencies, and contract-specific requirements. The salary range for this position is $68,952.32 to $103,428.48 (annualized USD). This range represents the standard pay for this role and is just one component of Precise Systems' total compensation package.
