VP, Software Development

• Lead the global software development team, set technical direction, and drive the vision for scalable, secure, and innovative solutions in the supply chain space.
• Be responsible for the product and software development roadmap, driving the creation and delivery of innovative software solutions that address both current and future business needs.
• Work closely with business leaders across product management, operations, and customer service to align technology initiatives with business goals. Be an advocate for technology within the organization, influencing stakeholders to adopt modern practices and platforms.
• Establish and maintain high standards for software quality, scalability, and performance. Champion best practices in agile development, testing, and continuous delivery.
• Build and scale a high-performing, globally distributed engineering team. Lead hiring efforts, talent development, and mentorship programs to foster a culture of innovation and growth.
• Manage budgets for the software development team and ensure efficient allocation of resources across projects.
• Lead change efforts in technology adoption, ensuring that the company remains on the cutting edge of software development practices and tools.
• Define key performance indicators (KPIs) for the team, track progress, and report results to senior leadership. Drive continuous improvements through metrics-based decision making.
• Oversee the implementation of secure coding practices, regulatory compliance requirements, and other critical governance frameworks.

• Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in software development, with at least 5 years in a leadership or executive role managing global, cross-functional teams.
• Strong experience in supply chain management, logistics, or related fields is a plus, with an understanding of the challenges and opportunities in this industry.
• Demonstrated success in leading complex software integration and modernization projects, with a focus on aligning business outcomes with technology solutions.
• Deep expertise in modern software development technologies (cloud computing, microservices, APIs, DevOps practices, etc.), with a proven track record of building scalable, high-performance systems.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to inspire, motivate, and lead diverse teams across multiple time zones.
• Strong background in Agile software development practices and principles.
• A strategic thinker with the ability to solve complex technical challenges while maintaining a customer-first mindset.
• Travel domestically/internationally up to 50% of the time.

The base pay range for this role is estimated to be $200,000.00-$300,000.00 at the time of posting. Final compensation will be determined by various factors such as work location, education, experience, knowledge, and skills.
