Sr. Project Manager We are seeking an experienced Project Manager with 7 to 8 years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project planning tracking time management quality management scope management risk management cost and budget management stakeholder management budgeting invoicing and proficiency in MS Project. Experience in R&D Preclinical and Clinical domains is a plus. This is a hybrid work model with day shifts and no travel required. Location: Chicago, Illinois **Candidate must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future** Responsibilities Lead project planning sessions to ensure all project tasks are clearly defined and scheduled. Oversee project tracking to monitor progress and ensure timely completion of milestones. Provide expertise in project time management to optimize resource allocation and task prioritization. Implement project quality management processes to maintain high standards and deliverables. Manage project scope to ensure all project requirements are met and changes are effectively controlled. Identify and mitigate project risks to minimize potential disruptions and ensure project success. Oversee project cost and budget management to ensure financial objectives are met. Facilitate project stakeholder management to ensure clear communication and alignment with project goals. Develop and manage project budgets to ensure financial resources are effectively utilized. Handle project invoicing to ensure accurate and timely billing. Utilize MS Project to create and maintain project schedules and documentation. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project objectives are achieved. Provide regular project updates and reports to stakeholders and senior management. Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations throughout the project lifecycle. Qualifications Must have strong experience in project planning tracking time management quality management scope management risk management cost and budget management stakeholder management budgeting invoicing and MS Project. Experience in R&D Preclinical and Clinical domains is a plus. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential. Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities are required. Ability to work effectively in a hybrid work model with day shifts. Proven track record of successfully managing complex projects. PMP or PRINCE2 certification is preferred. Other Compensation: Applications will be accepted until March 31, 2025. The annual salary for this position is between $102,000 to $141,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
