About the role:

Develop software systems, applications, firmware, and/or provide software systems testing and validation in support of R&D and/or Manufacturing Process Engineering. May include software tools, utilities, databases, and internet-related tools. Support customers by providing baselines and hardware for test system development and production support. Provide assistance with application packaging, deployments, documentation, and release control in an Enterprise environment, secure baseline image creation for multiple custom hardware configurations and leverage expertise with Active Directory.

Your responsibilities will include:




  • Workwith minimal guidance to develop and implement Windows based software baselines
  • Documentsoftware development and/or test development by writing documents, reports, memos, change requests; methods used are determined by approved procedures and standards
  • Tracksoftware development effort by creating and maintaining records in the approved tracking management tool
  • Solveengineering problems by analyzing the situation and recommending corrective or alternative actions
  • Analyze, evaluate, verifyrequirements, software, and systems by using software engineering practices
  • Investigate, research, selectsoftware designs, operating systems, and/or practices
  • Continuously improveprocess and work methodologies by interfacing with peers/cross-functional groups and analyzing activities to improve workflow and work processes
  • Directsupport personnel and project activities



Required qualifications:




  • BA or BS degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or closely related field
  • 3+ years of experience in a professional work environment
  • 3+ years of experience with deploying software in a Windows environment
  • Experience in an enterprise IT environment
  • Experience with troubleshooting and resolving technical issues with operating systems
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Windows operating systems, XP and newer
  • Ability to oversee multiple projects and teams to meet project milestones, schedules, and scope in alignment with best practices
  • Ability to design deployment solutions for Enterprise-wide rollouts and upgrades
  • Ability to secure baseline image creation for multiple hardware configurations
  • Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills



Preferred qualifications:




  • Experience with Ghost imaging/disk imaging
  • Experience with patching using remote deployment
  • Ability to identify reoccurring issues and work with IT and business partners to remediate using the problem management process
  • Ability to facilitate requirements gathering sessions and documents requirements, including conducting requirements gathering sessions, documenting requirements, and validating requirements with stakeholders as they relate to current environments and future trends
  • Certification in Microsoft Operating Systems or Engineering, including MCSE preferred

Compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, among other relevant business or organizational needs. At BSC, it is not typical for an individual to be hired near the bottom or top of the anticipated salary range listed above.

Compensation for non-exempt (hourly), non-sales roles may also include variable compensation from time to time (e.g., any overtime and shift differential) and annual bonus target (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).
