Associate Software Engineer

VTG is seeking an Associate Software Engineer with hands on experience with design and integration using C++ and Qt to develop a Human Machine Interface and Control Functionality for submersibles and surface craft. Must be experienced with SW development in an Agile environment. Firmware experience is a plus.

This position is located in Manassas, VA. This position is a hybrid position with remote work options and flexible schedules.

The Associate Software Engineer will report to the Decision Support System program leads to develop software for develop software solutions for relevant programs.

• The ideal candidate will bring in-depth knowledge and experience of Linux based design of Human Machine Interface and control systems.
• Work on a small diverse team developing and delivering command and control systems to submersibles and surface craft.
• Work on a team that is responsible for the design, development, test, and integration of SW.

Required Skills:

• C++, Qt, Agile Development Process.
• Ability to work in a multiple discipline team in support of command and controls system design and integration.
• Technical degree in Computer Science, SW Engineering, Computer Engineering or equivalent.

Desired Qualifications/Skills/Abilities:

• Experience with the design and development of control systems.
• Experience with Programable Logic Controllers.
