Duties and Responsibilities
Assists Principal Investigator (PI), research staff, and students with various lab procedures and projects, including but not limited to the following:

  • Performance of straightforward lab assays as instructed by PI.
  • Collection and organization of data, data entry and analysis, and literature searches. *
  • Incorporate new information/ techniques into experiments with PI's approval.
  • Monitors inventory of essential lab supplies and orders additional supplies when required.
  • Maintain orderly records of purchases. P
  • Professional record keeping of experiments conducted. * Transparent communication with PI about any difficulties and/ or errors so that solutions can be implemented.
  • Prepares solutions, buffers and media.
  • Maintains a safe and orderly lab environment.
  • Adheres to safety regulations and university policies.

Minimum Education and/or Work Experience
Education Required: Bachelors Degree OR equivalent training acquired via work experience or education Preferred: Bachelors Degree Experience Required: None Preferred: 1-2 years of previous job-related experience
