The Center for Childhood Liver Diseases in the Division of Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition is seeking a motivated full time Clinical Research Assistant (RA) to help with a variety of liver research studies in children and adolescents. The position involves significant patient contact, including obtaining informed consent from research participants and frequent contact with other departments in the hospital and outside organizations. The RA will be working on both clinical trials and division studies pertaining to a variety of liver diseases such as biliary atresia, fatty liver disease, Alagille syndrome, portal hypertension, liver transplant and acute liver failure. The RA will also be trained to perform transient elastography (a non-invasive ultrasound procedure to measure liver fibrosis and spleen stiffness) for several investigational device studies.
