Technical Project Manager

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Technical Project Manager with our client in the financial industry located in Richmond, VA. This is a 12+ month contract position requiring 3 days onsite. Pay range $50-$55/hr W2 only.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Project/Program Manager to join our team. This hybrid position will be based in Richmond, VA, and will involve managing multiple projects within a dynamic environment. You will be responsible for overseeing the project backlog, assisting in the refinement, planning, and prioritization of various initiatives, and representing these efforts to leadership. This role demands a strong understanding of project management, process optimization, and the ability to juggle multiple initiatives effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and refine the project backlog, ensuring timely project planning and prioritization.
• Maintain a high-level overview of complex project pieces, while being detail-oriented in tracking their execution.
• Lead project planning efforts, including managing various phases of the intent pipeline and following up on outstanding deliverables.
• Facilitate continuous improvements and process optimizations within the team.
• Communicate project status, progress, and roadblocks to leadership in an effective and clear manner.
• Collaborate with the team to identify project dependencies, gaps, and areas for improvement.
• Support the adoption of new tools or automation solutions aimed at enhancing team productivity and workflow.
• Maintain awareness of the SDLC and apply Agile methodologies where applicable.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Proven experience as a Project/Program Manager, ideally with a software development background.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and the SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle).
• Strong communication and presentation skills with an ability to interface effectively with leadership.
• Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously (typically around 8 projects at any given time).
• Detail-oriented with the ability to track complex project details while maintaining an overview of broader project goals.
• Ability to identify and address gaps or concerns in project requirements and provide appropriate follow-up.
• Experience in process improvement or implementing new tools or automation solutions.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in the financial services industry would be an asset.
• Knowledge of AWS compute, data system availability, and enterprise tool adoption.
