Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital (CRMH) located in Roanoke, VA is seeking a CPEP Emergency Services Director, BSN, to oversee daily operations of the department, reporting to the Senior Director of Psychiatry. CPEP is the comprehensive psychiatric emergency program located in the Emergency Department at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital (CRMH) in Roanoke, VA with consultative services provided to outlying facilities. The team provides 24x7 psychiatry services to patients that seek services in our emergency room during crisis. This team consists of an interdisciplinary team initiating/adjusting treatment and providing care until patient is ready for next level of care: inpatient, observation, or outpatient. What We Require:
Education: Graduate of school of professional nursing. BSN Required at CMC due to Magnet designation. For outlying community hospitals, BSN is preferred or an ADN in conjunction with a related Masters degree. Experience: 3-5 years supervisory experience in a healthcare setting preferred. Licensure/Certifications/Registration: Currently licensed as Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia. AHA BLS-HCP required. May be required to obtain/maintain BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP based on specific work unit. In Psychiatry and Behavioral Health, de-escalation training must be successfully completed within four months of hire and then maintained going forward. Licensure and/or certification in medical or management related discipline preferred. Other Minimum Qualifications: Demonstrates excellent problem-solving, interpersonal, communication, team leadership, priority setting and work competency skills. Promotes a respectful, inclusive culture of service excellence. In Psychiatry and Behavioral Health must possess ability to appropriately handle/restrain patients who may be disruptive and/or physically violent. About Carilion
