Applies advanced technical skills and knowledge and a general knowledge of industry standards and government regulations relative to the installation and repair of electrical systems, apparatus, and electrical and electronic components of industrial machinery and equipment.
Essential Functions & Key Responsibilities
Plans layout of wiring and installs wiring, conduit, and electrical apparatus in buildings. Diagnoses malfunctioning apparatus such as transformers, motors, and lighting fixtures and replaces damaged or broken wires and cables.
Installs data and control wiring and conduit for newly installed machines and equipment such as robots, conveyors, and programmable controllers.
Installs and maintains power and control wiring to machines and equipment and equipment, and connects cables and wires between machines and equipment.
Operates machinery and equipment such as robot controller, and programmable controller to program automated machinery to test for malfunctions, and to verify repairs. Diagnoses and repairs or replaces faulty printed circuit boards and other electronic components.
Diagnoses and replaces faulty mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components of machines and equipment and replaces electric motor bearings. Replaces faulty electrical components of machine such as relays, switches, and motors, and position sensing devices.
Performs maintenance duties within other maintenance disciplines to include repair of mechanical malfunctions, assembly, installation and repair of machines, pipes, fittings, and fixtures of heating, water, and sewer systems.
Performs other duties as required. These duties may include assignments in job classifications and departments other than the primary assignment.
Minimum Qualifications
Education Requirements
Minimum 2 Year / Associate Degree. Or technical school.
If applicable, a combination of experience and training may be substituted for the education requirement.
Experience Requirements
4-7 year(s) Directly related experience.
Skills and Competencies
Able to use safety equipment required by Title 29 CFR 1910, all parts.
Possesses a valid State of Oklahoma Driver License.
Provides basic hand tools and uses them properly.
Respirator training and certification.
