Your Role

Compensation: Base salary range $65,000 to $85,000, this includes monthly commission, annual bonus potential and monthly auto allowance. The salary is geographically adjusted and is based on knowledge, skills and experience.

Roles and Responsibilities

Business Development - Develop and support day to day activities of the Platinum Distributors and specific OEM Companies assigned by RVP within the Region. Meet or exceed established business goals through teaching the art of intensive prospecting, territory management and strategic selling. Control expenses, while maximizing Company assets, time, skills, and profit levels. Identify key Distributors within the assigned region/area where existing distribution is underperforming. Develop and implement a sales and marketing strategy to maximize business results with these customers and markets. Conduct Business Reviews on a Quarterly basis and recommend modifications and enhancements that will secure sales goals in line with growth targets. Represent the Company at trade shows and conferences, as required. Maintain effective lines of communication with the relevant Business Line Manager, Regional Vice Presidents, Regional Direct Sales Representatives, Technical and Service departments. Maintain relationship between other regional sales team with positive communication

Training - Provide training for each Platinum Distributor Branch on any new products, products requiring additional focus, and any training that may be requested by the Platinum Distributor including price management and strategic selling

Reporting- Prepare monthly reports that show market trends, business development results, competitor activity, sales forecasts and prospective activity. Prepare forecasts and track orders for Industrial Air products monthly

Market Analysis - Continuously pursue knowledge and understanding of economic trends and news that may affect the compressed air business. Report such activity to the Business Line Managers, Regional Vice Presidents and regional Sales Representatives.

Personal Development - Through training and development, remain current in the product knowledge and sales/marketing skills necessary to be effective in the position. Travel: Expect to be on the road 50% of your time Perform other duties as assigned.



To succeed, you will need

Qualifications



  • Five years of sales management experience, including field sales and territory management. Industrial sales experience is a plus.
  • Bachelor's (4-year) Degree in Business, Engineering, or other technical area, and/or equivalent training and education.
  • Must be a proven leader who is able to work independently and has excellent organizational, interpersonal, and verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel, as well as in SAP / C4C applications. Travel required. Must have a valid driver's license.
