Job Description: We are looking for Deployment Management Engineer to join our intelligence program supporting a key government customer in Fairfax, Virginia. In this role, you will to support the Change Management Engineering Area in providing network engineering and logical provisioning. Job duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Plan, test, and execute builds, testing, and deployment of system and software releases; deliver telecommunications patches, upgrades, and configurations (logical and physical).
- Review of approved engineering design and validation of router/switch/firewall including complex scripts, network implementation.
- Implement baseline configuration changes, additions, and deletions.
Required Qualifications:
- Seven (7) years of relevant experience, which can be a combination of degree and work history:
- High School diploma plus 7 years of work history
- Associate's degree plus 5 years of work history
- Bachelors' degree plus 3 years of work history
- Masters plus 1 year of work history
- PhD plus zero (0) years of relevant work history
- Prerequisite knowledge of and hands-on CLI (command line interface) experience with the latest Cisco and Juniper routing and switching platforms (for Service Provider Core/Edge, Datacenter, and Branch devices).
- Basic understanding of EIGRP, OSPF, BGP/MP-BGP, and MPLS, hands on experience is a plus
Desired Qualifications:
- CCNA or JNCA
- Hands-on experience with Firewall appliances (VPN Concentrator and Adaptive Security Appliance)
- Hands on experience with EIGRP, OSPF, BGP/MP-BGP, and MPLS is a plus
Work Schedule:
- Core hours, full-time onsite
