REPORTS TO: Guest and Event Services Manager

STATUS: Part-Time, Non-Exempt

JOB CLASSIFICATION: Associate I

WORK ARRANGEMENT: 100% Onsite, Varied Schedule

LOCATION: Napa, CA

SALARY RANGE: $23.33/hr - $30.55/hr

OVERVIEW

LightHouse for the Blind and Visually Impaired is a dynamic and socially conscious Non-Profit organization committed to making a positive impact in our community. We operate several social enterprises, including our Hospitality Division in Napa. This role will execute the operation of front of house services and duties in the dining room and is a conduit for the guests and the kitchen staff. This role is customer service oriented and interacts with guests regularly.


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Validated knowledge of basic principles of food preparation, various cooking methods, and food safety regulations
  • Must possess or have the ability to obtain a valid CA food handler permit
  • Demonstrated basic math and counting skills
  • Ability to follow directions and a willingness to ask clarifying questions
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
  • Ability to communicate in written and spoken English
  • Interest in learning and expanding skill set
  • Compliance with dress code requirements
  • Employment subject to satisfactory background check
  • Valid CA Drives License
  • High volume experience in any restaurant, fast-casual, or cafeteria setting
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Facilitating daily operations in the dining room.

    * Setting Tables/Bussing Tables

    * Cleaning Multiple Areas Including but not limited too

    * Dining Tables and Chairs

    * Busing Station

    * Coffee Station

    * Serving Station

    * Assist the kitchen in plating and serving food whether it is family style, buffet, or plated meals.

    * Maintain a clean coffee station that is continuously stocked.

    * Maintain cleanliness throughout all FOH-of-House (FOH) areas, including, emptying trash, removing all trash from dining room.

    * Assist kitchen staff with addition tasking if needed, which could include

    * Cleaning surfaces

    * Mopping

    * Sweeping

    * Labeling and storing food

    * All other directives from the kitchen

    * Maintain cleaning and task logs

    * Uphold high standards for work areas and personal hygiene

    * Perform opening, closing, and side work duties as instructed and according to proper guidelines

    * Maintain excellent customer service and a positive demeanor towards guests, customers, clients, co-workers, etc.



PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:



  • Have all tables set with all appropriate items 15 mins prior to service
  • Table staged with designated amount of chairs and place settings in accordance of BEO directions of guest services.
  • Clear and clean all table within 30 mins after the end of service
  • Complete daily task and cleaning logs 100% of the time on each shift worked
  • Comply with all sanitation and food safety guidelines 100% of the time
