Site Supervisor

SLSCO is seeking an experienced Site Supervisor who will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the daily activities of a construction crew on a job site, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards by supervising workers, managing materials, maintaining safety compliance, and communicating project progress to superiors.

Responsibilities:

• Survey developments for new work and existing conditions
• Communicate with subcontractors and project managers
• Write work proposals for approval by NYCHA
• Schedule work with development once approved by NYCHA
• Perform quality checks on completed work
• Complete the required paperwork to sign off the job with the development superintendents and property managers
• Upload required documents and data entry into databases as required
• Ensure all work is completed in a safe manner
• Attend weekly progress meetings with project managers
• Maintain a professional point of contact between NYCHA and SLS

Job Requirements:

• Site Safety Training SST card and OSHA 30-hour Construction Safety and Health card.
• Minimum of 5 years of Project Superintendent experience, required.
• Must be willing to travel and work in all 5 boroughs.
• Thorough knowledge of construction trades.
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
• Knowledge of construction budgeting best practices.
• Strong planning skills, including design execution, resource allocation and contingencies.
• Understanding of construction, including safe operating practices and maintenance.
• Great problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Effective leadership abilities, able to motivate team, set goals and resolve conflicts.
• Organizational skills, including time management, delegation, prioritization, and multitasking.
• Previous NYCHA experience a plus.
• Bilingual in Spanish is a plus

Physical Demands:

• Use of manual dexterity, tactile, visual, and audio acuity.
• Use of repetitive motion, prolonged periods of sitting and standing, and sustained visual and mental applications and demands.
• Occasional lifting (up to 15 pounds), bending, pulling, and carrying.
