Job Description

Position Overview: This role is responsible for training and implementing best-in-class processes to optimize the PET injection molding process, with a focus on safety, quality, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness. It will also lead talent development initiatives and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous production improvement.

Essential Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Collaborate with ARPNA PET injection SME's for machine, tooling, process, resin handling to align on ARPNA Best in Class process and procedures.
  • Create, implement, and manage training materials for PET injection molding in various formats, including written, video and CBT
  • Train plant injection resources on ARPNA Best in Class processes both formally in a classroom setting and informally on plant floor.
  • Audit overall plant injection performance and create a focused training program based on current state.
  • Identify and escalate unique injection issues to SME's for alignment on resolution.
  • Participate as a key resource on the Injection Molding POINT Team for creation, implementation and role out of standards and best practices.
  • Audit plants for compliance to best practices and report findings to plant and corporate leadership.
  • Assist in the technical evaluation of plant injection resources including recommended skill development plans.
  • Work to standardize and train on injection processes across all PET injection plants to ensure consistency and efficiency.
  • Create and distribute written reports as required to communicate progress and action items.
  • Support activities such as mold or machine qualifications or start ups, resin change overs and trials, tooling and machine audits.
  • Evaluate technical capabilities of plant injection resources, provide feedback to plant leadership and assist in creation of development plans.
  • Stay informed on the latest advancements in injection molding technology and identify opportunities for process improvements and innovation.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in injection molding.
  • Extensive knowledge of high output PET preform production.
  • Proven ability to organize, analyze, and manage large amounts of data.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and effectively prioritize tasks.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams.
  • Willingness to travel up to 80%.

CompensationThe starting salary for this position is expected to be between $101,900 to $135,900; however, base pay offered may vary within the full salary range $101,900 to $169,900 depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Base pay information is based on national averages and a geographic differential may be applied based on work location. Position may also be eligible for Amcor's Management Incentive Plan / Sales Incentive Plan, which is an annual bonus program based on business and individual performance, as well as medical coverage and other health and welfare benefits.
