McWane Ductile New Jersey is an industry leader in manufacturing water distribution and infrastructure products. As our country expanded, so did the need to supply growing cities with clean water and safely remove wastewater. Our location history starts in 1865 when Warren Foundry and Machine Company casted stoves, steam engines, mill gearing and other foundry related items. Currently we specialize in the casting of iron ductile pipes that range from 3" to 24" in diameter.

Work Environment:The work environment characteristics described are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and high, precarious places. The employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, outside weather conditions and extreme heat or cold. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, toxic or caustic chemicals, electrical shock and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually very loud.

Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented supervisor to oversee and coordinate the activities of workers involved in the finishing of cast iron pipe. This role requires strong leadership, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to safety and quality standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

(Including but not limited to)

  • Monitor and examine materials at various stages of production to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Observe machinery operations, interpret specifications, and make necessary adjustments to work procedures.
  • Suggest improvements to work conditions to enhance efficiency and safety.
  • Resolve work-related issues promptly and effectively.
  • Maintain accurate time and production records to track performance.
  • Ensure production levels meet established targets.
  • Collaborate closely with maintenance supervisors to ensure consistent production.
  • Directly supervise a team of 15-20 employees, providing guidance and support.
  • Ensure required training, Job Safety Analysis (JSA), Pure Safety, and Safety Talks are completed daily, weekly, and monthly.
  • Conduct regular safety audits and enforce Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.
  • Oversee and enforce company policies, safety regulations, and disciplinary actions for hourly staff as needed.
  • Uphold all supervisory responsibilities in compliance with organizational policies and applicable laws.
