Mechanical Engineer
Location: Iowa (Onsite - No WFH) Salary: $70,000 - $110,000 DOE Schedule: Monday-Friday, Day Shift Travel: Up to 5% About the Role: We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to support a large customer in the area. This is a hands-on, onsite role that involves mechanical, structural, and fluid system engineering and design within a fabrication shop environment. The ideal candidate will have expertise in AutoCAD and Inventor and be comfortable interfacing with customers, suppliers, and internal teams. Responsibilities: Design & Engineering: Oversee mechanical, structural, and fluid system design for all fabrication shop projects Technical Drawings: Create detailed prints and drawings using AutoCAD and Inventor Project Coordination: Work closely with the Project Manager to meet customer requirements and schedules Customer Interaction: Interface with customers and suppliers to define project design needs System Startup & Commissioning: Ensure proper installation and functionality of mechanical systems Proposal & Quotation Support: Assist in developing new project proposals and preliminary designs Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate weekly records of time per project and task Qualifications: 5+ years of experience in Mechanical Engineering Proficiency in AutoCAD and Inventor (Preferred) Strong background in fabrication, fluid systems, and structural engineering Ability to commute or relocate to Iowa ( relocation assistance available!)
