SUMMARY: We are looking for a motivated and hard-working Intern to join our team for an 8-12-week internship this summer to be part of our Retail and C-Stores Department! ESSENTIAL DUTIES/FUNCTIONS: The main objective for the intern is to become familiar with the gasoline and retail merchandise of Aloha Petroleum. Responsibilities will vary but may include meeting with staff at our stores and facilities, meeting with managers to review sales/scheduling/and other projects and initiatives, learning and operating the front store and back store, generating reports and performing audits, assisting staff with promotional products through our C-stores/website/and other modes of communication, and negotiating with managers on new merchandise and pricing. The intern will be required to travel to our store locations and our administration office. Conducts on-site customer engagement events across the Hawaiian Islands in support of the business. Represents Company interests with the highest standards of professionalism pertaining to phone etiquette, responding to emails and interaction with customers while on site. Complies with Company policies and procedures Education and/or Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily. The requirements for this position are listed below: Currently enrolled in an undergraduate degree program of business disciplines include Marketing, Management, Finance, Accounting and other college level business courses. General requirements include self-motivated individuals, involvement in activities outside college studies.
