Overview

Our long-term client relationship with NASA has led to a need for a Certification of Flight Readiness (CoFR) Process Integrator on the Human Space Flight Technical Integration (HSFTIC) contract at Johnson Space Center (Houston, TX).

Join the dynamic team at Barrios Technology as a CoFR Process Integrator on our Human Space Flight Integration Contract (HSFTIC). The CoFR process ensures that Program processes generate the necessary traceability and objective evidence for declaring flight and operational readiness with a clear understanding of risk. In this role, you will support a team as they expand the boundaries of humanity through exploration focused on Low Earth Orbit (LEO), and ultimately to the Moon and beyond in support of NASA Human Spaceflight activities.

Responsibilities

The CoFR Process Integrator will:

Support Human Space Flight Certification of Flight Readiness (CoFR) process management in multiple disciplines including but not limited to:

    Performing as subject matter expert of CoFR Process compliance
  • Operating as the CoFR point of contact for various levels of management
  • Proofreading, editing, and developing CoFR process documents and plans
  • Providing department reports to support work plans
  • Communicating clear ideas and thoughts verbally and in written form; exhibiting good listening skills and comprehension; keeping others adequately informed; selecting and using appropriate communication methods
  • Treating people with respect; keeping commitments; inspiring the trust of others; working with integrity and principles; upholding organizational values
  • Identifying and resolving problems in a timely manner; gathering and analyzing information skillfully; develops alternative solutions; works well in group problem solving situations; uses reason even when dealing with emotional topics
  • Following policies and procedures; supporting organization's goals and values
  • Performing in a collaborative and cross-disciplinary fashion in a fast-paced, dynamic and deadline-oriented environment
  • Performing data management (electronic and in-room) to ensure the restrictions based on data-owner classification
  • Applying aerospace industry experience and lessons learned to assess processes for potential efficiencies and improvements
  • Developing new processes as needed to execute CoFR process for human space flight programs/projects
  • Supporting CoFR Meeting Logistics as needed including early morning and after-hours support as assigned
  • Performing other duties as required to ensure execution of established CoFR processes
  • Some travel required


Qualifications

Required Education/Experience/Skills:

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent experience with courses in Business Administration, Computer Science, or Industrial Management
  • Minimum of 2 years of progressive administrative experience or any equivalent combination of relevant education and experience
  • Demonstrated background working with multidisciplinary teams
  • Advanced proficiency using Microsoft Office tool suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Strong teamwork skills
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Proven ability to work independently and to exercise individual initiative
  • Must be flexible and able to accept and quickly adapt to changes in work focus
  • Advanced oral and written communication skills; must be able to effectively communicate with project team members at all levels of the organization

Preferred Education/Experience/Skills:

  • NASA human spaceflight experience.
  • Minimum five (5) years NASA CoFR reporting experience
  • Knowledge of SharePoint and/or Data management (proprietary, ITAR, etc.)
  • Experience with leading a project or event, or experience with self-starting or self-leading (in professional career)
  • Ability to quickly resolve technical mishaps or unforeseen events when facilitating meetings to minimize meeting down time and stress
  • Demonstrated organizational skills, attention to detail and problem-solving skills to meet tight deadlines and quality objectives
  • Able to independently anticipate changing priorities, unscheduled work tasks and effectively flow down changes to work team
  • Experience in a customer focused role with demonstrated ability to articulate and patiently instruct others (peers, managers, teammates and customers) in detailed technical processes
  • Demonstrated ability to coherently compose and respond to email communication; creation and editing of instruction documents when needed.

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen and successfully complete a U.S. government background investigation.

  • May require lifting and carrying up to 25 lb.

  • Regular attendance in accordance with established work schedule is critical.
  • Ability to work outside normal schedule and adjust schedule to meet peak periods and surge requirements when required.
  • Must be able to work in a team atmosphere.
  • Must put forward a professional behavior that enhances productivity and promotes teamwork and cooperation.
  • Grooming and dress must be appropriate for the position and must not impose a safety risk/hazard to the employee or others.
  • This position may require some commuting and traveling to other installations as needed.
