Mechanics Bank is currently searching for a Treasury Sales Officer to join our team. Here at Mechanics Bank, we value connection, partnership, long term relationships and working together in person. This role will be working on-site at our Walnut Creek, CA office. The Treasury Management Sales Officer is an assertive sales focused individual whose emphasis is in the acquisition of deposits and operating business through cultivating prospects into new client relationships and generating new business from existing clients. The Treasury Management Sales Officer works closely with the Commercial Bankers, Relationship Managers, Retail Banking Center Personnel and Business Banking Lending staff to deliver Mechanics Bank's suite of Treasury Management solutions to clients and prospects and manage the Treasury Management relationship within an assigned portfolio. The individual can distill complex relationships to position Mechanics Bank as the preferred Treasury Management Services provider calling across a company's organization to engage stakeholders, understanding their needs, issues, and desires to drive value form the company's working capital. What you will be doing:
Partners across the Mechanics Bank organization to target and build opportunities for Treasury Services solutions and depository business. Ability to recognize and solve client's needs. Performs consultative relationship reviews. Assist the TMSO's with market-based sales plans & proforma's to target prospects and existing customers. Enhance bank employees' knowledge of Treasury Management services for the purpose of developing business. Develop relationships with key internal bank business partners & support staff. Grows non-interest income and deposit interest income. Manages and maintains and accurate and timely sales pipeline. Achieves annual performance metrics for new business sales, call efforts, revenue growth, client retention, and profitability. Represents Mechanics Bank and Treasury Services in internal and external settings.
Who you are:
Bachelor's degree in Business preferred or 10 years banking experience. Minimum of 3-5 years of Treasury Management Service/Sales experience. Establishes working relationships with clients/prospects and colleagues with an ability to articulate ideas and solutions. Ability to work independently and have a strong acumen for business and relationship development. Ability to generate ideas to identify and drive the development of new business. Effective selling and negotiation skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong time management, organizational, planning skills and customer skills Ability to mobilize internal networks and resources. Strong working relationship with the Treasury Management Team. Ability to use various PC and internet-based systems including but not limited to Word, PowerPoint and Excel for the role. Strong cultural sensitivity and awareness. Knowledge of credit and operational risk-ability to quantify potential exposure and advise the team. Ability to create proformas and understand formulas involved in analysis. Prepare and ensure proper execution of onboarding documentation for Treasury Management solutions to clients/prospects. Create presentations, reports, collateral review and design, product review and enhancements, portfolio, revenue, profitability, pricing, and other duties as requested. Excellent presentation skills to develop customized presentations for internal and external use. Provides client support and product knowledge in relation to treasury management services. Responsible for problem solving, and resolution of treasury management issues with prospects and clients. Review and respond to referrals from Retail colleagues requiring a fast-paced analysis and professional communication to deliver new revenue and manage expectations of Retail clients, prospects and colleagues
#LI-AS1 Salary: $80,000-130,000 annually Final compensation package will be determined by the work experience, education, and/or skill level of the applicant along with internal equity and alignment with geographic market data.
