St. Jude Global is looking for a Health Economic Research Scientist.
This role will be responsible for constructing costing and cost-effectiveness models to compare costs and clinical outcomes of several interventions and their comparators. Other tasks will be conceptualization and creation of novel costing, budgeting and forecasting tools to address health economics questions for a wide range of topics. Overview The Department of Global Pediatric Medicine (GPM) is a growing department looking for professionals who are eager to help implement the St. Jude Global (SJG) mission by training the clinical workforce, developing and strengthening health systems and patient-centered initiatives, and advancing knowledge to sustain continuous improvement through research. Summary The Health Economics Research Scientist leads the design, implementation, and oversight of projects and initiatives for the Department of Global Pediatric Medicine (GPM) and St. Jude Global (SJG). Under the GPM director's supervision and as assigned. Acts as a liaison with other members of GPM and SJG and its collaborators, to ensure coordination and success of departmental, regional, and/or global initiatives and departmental requirements. GPM is seeking a detail-oriented Health Economics Research Scientist to assist in the design, management, implementation, and oversight of projects and initiatives within and for the Department of Global Pediatric Medicine (GPM) and St. Jude Global (SJG). This pivotal role serves as a section/project team lead for a rapidly growing epidemiology and health economics unit focused on applying decision science and cost-effectiveness analyses methods to inform decision-making at the individual and population levels, in different disease areas including childhood malignancies and other catastrophic diseases. A unique aspect of this program is the opportunity to integrate real-world data collection into applied research. This is a unique opportunity to learn new content in many different disciplines, as well as to develop and conduct new research projects that will be implemented around the world and published in high-impact scientific journals. This is an estimate offered in good faith and a specific salary offer takes into account factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the salary range and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
