The Undersea Technology Analysis Portfolio (UTAP), within the Sea, Land, & Air Analysis Group in SPA, conducts rigorous and objective analyses to enable the Navy and other DoD organizations to make decisions, plans, and strategies to deliver emerging undersea technologies and warfighting capabilities. We support clients across the undersea and naval special warfare enterprises, including those within resourcing and requirements (OPNAV N97), acquisition (program offices for undersea technologies and naval special warfare), and science and technology (Office of Naval Research, DARPA) Our enduring capabilities include:

    Identifying capability gaps, developing requirements, and generating solutions
  • Assessing the operational utility and technical feasibility of new technologies
  • Execution of acquisition and technology development programs, including developing plans and roadmaps to mature, deliver, and sustain new technologies
  • Analysis of vulnerabilities and threats to undersea platforms and systems
  • Quantitative analysis and modeling of undersea forces and their missions

SPA has a near term need for Quality Assurace Technicians for upcoming support to the Program Executive Office (PEO) for Unmanned and Small Combatants (USC), located in Pearl City, HI. PEO USC, through affiliated program offices, designs, procures, and builds the Navy's small manned and unmanned surface and undersea systems delivering the capabilities needed to support a range of fleet operations in the at the best cost-efficient value.



Responsibilities

This role will support operation, maintenance, testing, and repair of equipment installed on PEO USC vehicles, particularly SEAL Delivery Vehicles and UUVs.

Please note that the salary information shown below is a general guideline only. Salaries are commensurate with experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. Hawaii Pay Transparency Range: 115-160k.



Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

Reports full-time to a client site in Pearl City, Hawaii, based upon the needs of the client.

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 7-10 years of experience with Quality Assurance maintenance programs
  • Graduate of military schools which provided an in-depth knowledge of naval shipboard systems maintenance and operation; or be a graduate of a trade, industrial or correspondence school for engineering.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Subject matter expertise in certification program plan and technical maintenance manual authority with prior active-duty military experience supporting Naval Special Warfare programs
  • Familiarity with Deep Submergence System - Scope of Certification programs
  • More than 10 years of experience with Quality Assurance maintenance programs
