We are looking for an exceptional mind to create user-centered design solutions that increase efficiency and ease-of-use within the product ecosystem of our Fleet Service businesses. The Sr. UX Architect will collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to innovate, design, iterate, and scale our technology-enabled solutions in fixed and mobile maintenance & repair operations.

The right candidate should understand fleet owners/operators and the vehicles in their fleets, especially medium and heavy-duty trucks. You will gain deep subject matter knowledge of commercial auto maintenance and repair and the associated roles and processes.

The Sr. UX Architect will perform problem discovery, understanding the nuances and needs for new capabilities. You must be able to articulate the problem and have the technical know-how to write and visualize the needs of our enterprise users and customers. You must possess a proven track record of interfacing with engineering counterparts in an agile development environment.

You will have a deep understanding of the role, needs, context, and daily life of the various end users, including service technicians, service advisors, dispatchers/coordinators and parts managers. You will advocate for the user during the development process, sharing real-world examples and scenarios. You must understand and articulate the end-to-end of processes from the end-user perspective.

User Experience Skills

* Works across the Cox product / service portfolio to bring together a holistic customer experience.

* Develops and evaluates multiple approaches and solutions to the same design challenge.

* Articulates design rationale and trade-offs to stakeholders, product partners, and developers.

* Communicates the user journey and workflow, selecting the most useful artifacts at the right level of fidelity. Options for articulating the user journey include sketches, flowcharts, storyboards, service blueprints, journey maps, and prototypes.

* Produces wireframes, prototypes, and needed specifications to communicate to provide clear documentation to developers.

* Assists in the ongoing definition of Cox Automotive's and Fleet UX's evolving standards and guidelines.

User Research

* Prioritizes user research needs and creates a roadmap of planned, prioritized research activities.

* Gains deep knowledge of the various types of end-users through methods such as interviews, surveys, and shadowing/contextual inquiry.

* Utilizes usability testing and other evaluation methods to get feedback on design approaches.

Collaboration

* Partners with Product Owners and Product Managers to collaborate on product strategy and roadmaps; conceives ideas for enhancing product performance and achieving product success/KPIs.

* Facilitates solution brainstorming and evaluation with Engineering.

* Supports the team's efforts to assess and enhance processes, effectiveness and productivity.

Who You Are

Education, Experience and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related discipline and 4 years' experience in a related field. The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as a master's degree and 2years' experience; a Ph.D. and up to 1 year of experience; or 16 years' experience in a related field
  • Excellent oral, written and verbal communication skills, as well as interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency with design tools such as Figma.
  • Experience with Group facilitation
  • Experience with Designing for mobile devices, including native and responsive design
  • Experience with Large-scale, long-term projects
  • Experience with SAFe and Agile methodologies
  • Ability to Establish UX methodology, processes, estimates and deliverables for a project
  • Ability to Work on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to Make intuitive leaps to hypothesize product design solutions
  • Ability to Convincingly articulate ideas and rationale across the company, including the executive suite.
  • Ability to Deal with ambiguity
  • Ability to Stay up to date on the latest trends and research in product design, SEO and web/mobile technologies.


Specializations

  • Experience designing applications in Salesforce, especially Field Service Manager and Service Console.
  • Background in fleet operations, fleet services or general automotive is preferred.


USD 108,900.00 - 181,500.00 per year

Compensation:

Compensation includes a base salary of $108,900.00 - $181,500.00. The base salary may vary within the anticipated base pay range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include an incentive program.

Benefits:

The Company offers eligible employees the flexibility to take as much vacation with pay as they deem consistent with their duties, the company's needs, and its obligations; seven paid holidays throughout the calendar year; and up to 160 hours of paid wellness annually for their own wellness or that of family members. Employees are also eligible for additional paid time off in the form of bereavement leave, time off to vote, jury duty leave, volunteer time off, military leave, and parental leave.
