St. Jude's Guest Services team is looking for our next colleague!
This is a part-time position (20 hours)/week and it does involve some driving of a St. Jude vehicle. Good motor vehicle record and insurability is required for this role.
This role will support St. Jude's Temporary Guest Housing program for non-patient housing. This program provides lodging for students, interns, postdocs, visiting scientists, and new hires.
Job responsibilities include:
- Driving to and from housing facilities near campus, on campus, and to your assigned work area.
- Making lodging reservations.
- Answering calls and emails regarding the temporary guest housing program.
- Creating welcome packets for guests and visitors.
- Assisting with apartment inspections and getting accommodations ready.
- Invoicing non-patient guests for monthly rent.

If you have a high school diploma/GED, a valid driver's license in your state of residence and a good driving record, and have at least one year of business support experience, apply today!

Part-Time Guest Services Position - St. Jude Children's Research Hospital

This part-time, Monday through Fridayposition will support St. Jude's Temporary Guest Housingprogram, which provides lodging for students, interns, postdocs, visiting scientists, and new hires. There are no late-night shifts.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist residents with facility-related needs or housing requests to ensure a comfortable, peaceful, and healthy environment.
  • Control access to the housing facility and coordinate with security as needed.
  • Answer inquiries related to guest services, providing information about shopping, dining, entertainment, and travel directions.
  • Date and sign all shift reports.
  • Organize and maintain inventory, ensuring housing is adequately stocked and ready for guests.
  • Maintain a neat appearance and restock supplies.
  • Manage phone activity, including answering calls, taking accurate and complete messages, and providing general information to callers.
  • Enforce housing policies and guidelines for guests.
  • Handle emergencies and unexpected situations in the housing facility.
  • Make housing reservations.
  • Handle special arrival and departure requests.
  • Perform other related duties to support the department's goals and objectives.
  • Maintain regular and predictable attendance.
  • Minimum Education and/or Training:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum Experience:

  • At least one year of experiencein a service-oriented, customer-focused environment.
  • Licensure, Registration, and Certification Requirements:

  • Must have a valid driver's licensefrom the employee's state of residence.
  • Must have a valid auto insurance policythat meets the Tennessee state requirements.
  • Physical Demands and Working Conditions:

  • The employee must be able to stand, walk, sit, kneel, use hands to handle or feel objects and communicate effectively.
  • Occasionally required to lift and move up to 25 pounds.
  • Close vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • The work environment is generally quiet, with reasonable accommodations available for individuals with disabilities.
  • The employee must be able to move about the workspace and access work surfaces, shelves, cabinets, drawers, and equipment.
  • Compliance with federal, state and local safety and health regulationsis required.
  • Management reserves the right to modify job responsibilities as needed.

Compensation

In recognition of certain U.S. state and municipal pay transparency laws, St. Jude is including a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This is an estimate offered in good faith and a specific salary offer takes into account factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the salary range and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current salary range is $19.00 - $30.00 per hour for the role of Guest Services Representative (Part-Time, Driving).
