Job Description

We are seeking a Master Technician to join our Test Lab, playing a critical role in ensuring the efficiency, accuracy, and compliance of our test stands and equipment. This role focuses on calibration, quality management, hydraulics testing, and lab operations, including inventory management, vendor coordination, and machine maintenance.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in instrumentation, hydraulics, and test lab operations, as well as a commitment to continuous improvement and safety.

Job Responsibilities

  • Perform calibrations on test equipment ensuring compliance with reference standards and quality management systems (QMS).
  • Maintain calibration records and traceability documentation.
  • Oversee oil sampling systems, including sample bottles, reporting, and tracking.
  • Manage tested hardware inventory, ensuring accurate documentation and traceability.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO, ASQ, and internal quality standards related to calibration and testing.
  • Set up, execute, and document hydraulic testing procedures, troubleshooting issues as they arise.
  • Maintain and configure data acquisition (DAQ) systems for testing and reporting.
  • Manage parts and oil inventory, ensuring adequate stock levels and timely replenishment.
  • Maintains hose and fitting inventory to ensure readiness for testing needs.
  • Oversee procurement and vendor management for test stand components, chemicals, and maintenance supplies.
  • Coordinate shipping, receiving, and waste management (electrical, chemical, hazardous materials).
  • Monitor and schedule maintenance for lab equipment, including forklifts, air compressors, floor scrubbers, and parts washers.
  • Implement 5S and lean management principles to maintain an organized, efficient, and safe work environment.

Background & Skills

Required:



  • Associate degree in Fluid Power, Electronics, or Applied Science preferred.
  • Minimum of 12 years of experience in calibration, hydraulics, or test lab operations.
  • Strong understanding of quality management systems (QMS) and instrumentation.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, hydraulic schematics, and electronic schematics.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.


Preferred:



  • Experience with LabView or other data acquisition systems.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001, 5S, and lean principles.
  • Familiarity with hydraulic and electronic circuits, troubleshooting, and data analysis.
  • Experience with Siemens Teamcenter PLM.
  • Knowledge of Danfoss products.
