Job Summary:

The Builder Multifamily Specialist in Seattle is responsible for servicing established EF dealers and driving specified residential flooring products to national and regional builders and multi-family management companies. Specialists successfully manage the sales process, service customers, and generate new business through the existing dealer base.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:



  • Perform sales calls, which include traveling to customer's facilities to share information and support, making sales presentations to prospective and current clients, calculating and quoting prices, taking orders, and closing transactions.
  • Provide superior customer service before, during, and after-sales transactions to ensure the resolution of issues within company policies.
  • Build strong customer relationships and provide account management of high-volume transactional business for large and strategic accounts while ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Assist in establishing sales objectives for the territory in conjunction with the District Manager and ensure sales activities comply with established policies, procedures, and practices.
  • Communicate customer requirements and request support from other departments as necessary.
  • Monitor territory performance against established objectives and guidelines, taking strategic action to improve performance.
  • Collaborate with the specification team on new and existing business opportunities. Ensure national account specifications are successfully implemented in assigned geographic areas.
  • Provide reports and other sales information as requested or required.
  • Regular travel with regional sales personnel.
  • Set up displays in showrooms and design centers.
  • Conduct product knowledge training sessions for dealers and end users.


Experience/Education Requirements:



  • Proven experience dealing directly with national and regional builders, and multifamily management companies
  • Established relationships and contacts with the top customers in each category
  • A strong track record calling on regional builders and working with procurement individuals
  • Relationships on a regional and national level with flooring contractors for driving specifications
  • Experience in negotiating national and regional contracts with builder multifamily base
  • Experience in managing rebates and pricing structure for channels
  • College degree preferred but not required
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to sit, stand, bend, squat multiple times per day
  • Must be able to travel extensively on a weekly basis via air, auto, and rail
  • Must reside within the specified territory
