Drafter

E2 Consulting Engineers, Inc. The Drafter will be responsible for creating design drawings, diagrams, and as-builts for electrical projects and related facilities. This position will take direction from the Manager, but is also expected to function under minimal supervision. This position is responsible for understanding and completing drawings in accordance with client standards and specifications.

Create and/or modify concept layouts.
• Proficient with MicroStation V8i.
• Experience with AutoCAD a plus.
• Apply internal best practices along with applicable industry standards.
• Convert electrical drawings and diagrams from PDF format to MicroStation V8i drawings upon client request.
• Generates design modification prints using applicable standard work procedures.
• Create as-built drawings upon project completion.
• Proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS Teams required.

Education and Experience

• BS in Engineering Discipline or related field, or AS degree with 5+ years of drafting experience.
• Drafting experience with MicroStation V8i.

Other Skills/Abilities

• Proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS Teams required.
• Ability to read and understand electrical drawings and diagrams.
• Excellent organizational skills combined with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Basic communication skills both written and oral are expected.
• Must be able to function effectively both as a member of a team and as an individual contributor.
• Ability to complete assigned tasks in the time allotted with minimal supervision.
• Highly motivated individual with the ability to work under stress and meet tight deadlines.
• Must be capable of effectively and accurately working on several projects at one time.
