The Director, Retail Strategy and Delivery is responsible for developing and executing sales strategies to drive deposit, loan, and investment growth across both retail and digital banking channels. This role analyzes market scorecard results to identify opportunities, implement best practices, and enhance performance. The position fosters a One Bank culture by driving initiatives that elevate the client experience, ensuring alignment with company values. The Director, Retail Strategy and Delivery serves as a subject matter expert on Salesforce, project manages strategic initiatives, and collaborates with internal partners to optimize sales outcomes and business performance.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Execute sales strategies that enhance deposit, loan, and investment growth across the retail and digital banking footprint.
  • Analyze scorecard results and market trends to identify opportunities, drive focus, and implement best practices that improve results.
  • Develop and manage initiatives that enhance the client experience and promote a unified banking approach.
  • Serve as a Salesforce subject matter expert, supporting retail associates in optimizing reporting and daily utilization.
  • Project manage new initiatives and pilot programs, such as extended banking hours and banker licensing, ensuring smooth implementation and impact assessment.
  • Act as a liaison between Retail Banking and internal partners, including Business Banking, Mortgage, Credit Card, and Investments, to align strategies and maximize collaboration.
  • Work closely with Finance to interpret scorecard results, prioritize growth opportunities, and enhance client interactions at all touchpoints.
  • Facilitate focus groups across job families to capture associate feedback, translating insights into actionable improvements for client and employee experiences.
  • Monitor client experience trends, identifying and addressing key drivers of dissatisfaction to enhance service quality.
  • Stay informed on financial center technology advancements and drive adoption of new tools that enhance operational efficiency and customer engagement.
  • Provide strategic insights and performance assessments to the Head of Retail Banking, identifying business gaps and areas for growth.
  • Play a key role in the budgeting process and ensure alignment with sales and profitability goals through client acquisition and relationship deepening strategies.
  • Cultivate a high-performance culture by coaching and developing leaders, fostering an environment that encourages innovation and collaboration.

MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & KNOWLEDGE:

  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.
  • 12 years of experience leading teams, managing large-scale projects, and coaching leaders.
  • Proven ability to drive sales performance and improve client experiences within a banking environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to identifying financial and operational gaps.
  • Expertise in Salesforce reporting and system utilization to enhance banking operations.
  • Experience managing strategic initiatives, pilot programs, and process improvement projects.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate across multiple banking functions, including Business Banking, Mortgage, Wealth Management, and Wholesale Banking.
  • Innovative thinker with a deep understanding of industry trends and competitor strategies.
  • Ability to create a motivating work environment that fosters associate engagement and high performance.

ESSENTIAL MENTAL & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to work under stress and meet deadlines
  • Ability to lift/move/carry approximately 20 pounds if required to perform the essential job functions. If the employee is unable to lift/move/carry this weight and can be accommodated without causing the department/division an "undue hardship" then the employee must be accommodated; hence omitting lifting/moving/carrying as a physical requirement.
