Job Description

Master Scheduler will be a key contributor to the success of PL37's Sales, Inventory and Operations Planning process. The role will coordinate with factory planners to develop and execute strategic production schedules for manufacturing, and the development of mid to long range capacity analysis. The incumbent will be responsible for identifying and scaling production part shortages and plant capacity data to determine sales order commit date. Will confer with department supervisors to determine status of manufacturing orders and buyers to determine status of part shortages. Work with manufacturing to expedite operations that delay schedules and alters schedules to meet unforeseen conditions. Prepare production and material shortage reports. Generate consensus production plan for a 3-12 month rolling horizon that supports the agreed upon product demand plans.

Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following.



  • o Analyze and organize information and demand data to develop a plan for meeting on-time delivery of finished goods. Enters subsequent manufacturing orders to be scheduled by production. The plan defines order quantities, maximum order quantities, urgency of needs, quantity on hand and outstanding commitments.

    o Implement and drive the Production Schedule to ensure a leveled production plan and protect production lines from variations of the customer demand

    o Maintain accurate data within the MRP/ERP system

    o Monitor part shortages within customer systems

    o Analyze and monitor Engineering Change Notices, LDAs that could impact production.

    o Follow up the delivery performance metrics and implement action plans.

    o Coordinate expedites or special request deliveries

    o Maintaining a clean, safe and orderly workplace.

    o Understanding and complying with quality policy, procedures and instructions to ensure product quality, customer satisfaction, attainment of business goals and environmental well-being.

Education and/or Experience

* Bachelor's degree with at least 5 years of experience in Planning and Scheduling

* Experience in a Manufacturing environment

* Must have strong knowledge in analytic tools to include Excel, Power BI, Tableau

* Strong understanding of MRP/ERP Software preferably with SAP

Preferred Qualifications: (Education, Skills, Experience, and/or Languages that are nice to have but not required):

o Production Control, Forecasting, Analytical, Problem-Solving Skills, Able to Multi-Task

o Team Player
