JOB SUMMARY: Provides administrative and production support to the Mill Manager and management staff. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Use the Quality Management System to ensure all processes are accurately documented in work instructions, training records are up to date, and actively looks for ways to continually improve production and efficiency
- Provide administrative support for Mill Manager and Department managers
- Answer phones and greet visitors
- Prepare for payroll
- Administer attendance programs, to include vacation, FMLA/OFLA, and sick leave
- Assist in filling job vacancies, including posting job openings, screening applicants, and checking references
- Conduct new hire orientation and completing all new hire paperwork
- Maintain all employee records
- Assist in the administration of the safety program, including monthly Safety Action Plan, Loss Prevention Plan, Hearing Conservation Plan, accident paperwork, Hazardous Communication Program, safety training, and Safety Committee member and secretary
- Inventory and order office and safety supplies
- Issue checks, maintain check register, balance checkbook, make deposit requests, and maintain petty cash
- Update and maintain bulletin boards throughout mill
- Coordinate employee and corporate events and functions (Company Picnic, Christmas Potluck, Safety BBQ, Pendleton RoundUp, etc.)
- Enter data of production items into the manufacturing system data programs.
- Generate, update, and distribute production reports.
- Reviews reports to verify entries from the previous day are accurate.
- Process all new layouts and artwork for blanket/fabric design files.
- Print piece tickets for production orders.
- Perform all duties in accordance with safety rules and regulations
- Perform other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Keyboarding skills: 50+ WPM with high accuracy
- 10-Key skills: 8,000+ ksph with high accuracy
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Capable of working collaboratively in teams and productively independently
- Organized and detail-oriented
Physical Requirements:
- Regularly required to sit, stand, and walk
- Occasionally required to bend and move about the production mill
- Occasionally required to lift and move up to 20 pounds
