Role/Responsibilities/Qualifications

Job Title: Director, Commercial Solutions Sector

Location: Chantilly, VA

Percentage of remote work: 0%, on-site required

Percentage of required travel: 15% travel

Salary range: USD $190,000 - $240,000 per year

Security clearance: Active TOP SECRET clearance with sensitive compartmentalized information (SCI) eligibility. Candidate must maintain a TS/SCI clearance as a condition of employment.

Stellar Solutions is searching for a Director, Commercial Solutions Sector. In this role you join the known space industry CEO leadership team and Stellar's proud history. Specifically for the VP, Commercial Sector you help advance space system solutions, manage teams, build customer-facing relationships and lead capture effort from concept, through proposal and into execution. You work on programs with partner companies that include venture capital backed space start-up companies, lead government proposal efforts, and manage teams on active contracts.

In this role you will apply your experience in growing from exceptional space systems engineering, integration, mission delivery. Having real world experience in government capture and proposals is key to going from notional concepts to well architected solutions. The successful candidate brings with them industry experience and relationships that raise the bar for the Commercial Solutions Sector. This role is vital to helping our industry partners succeed and government missions be met with the right commercial solutions.

Compensation:

The typical salary pay range for this position is USD $190,000 - $240,000 per year. Individual pay is determined by many factors including work location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. In addition to salary, this position is also eligible for a discretionary annual performance bonus, and a full benefits package including a significant profit-sharing retirement savings plan.

Required skills:

    15+ years of experience in systems engineering, program management, or space systems development
  • US citizenship (required for security clearance)
  • Proven leadership experience, including managing teams, contracts, and customer relationships
  • Experience with commercial or defense space systems

  • Program Management Professional (PMP) certification

Education:

  • Aerospace Engineering or related field graduate level study

Security Clearance & Other Requirements

  • Candidate must maintain a TS/SCI clearance as a condition of employment.
  • Position is on-site daily at our Chantilly, VA corporate office with up to 15% travel


Deliverable(s)

Each week you will support leadership meetings, perform on contract as an individual contributor and manager, and help grow the business. Products you will produce are on-contract deliverables, SalesForce management, customer engagement reports, and drafts for yearly strategy and goal setting documents.
