Description

Holt CAT in Little Elm, Texas is looking for a experienced Heavy Equipment-Shop Service Technician. This position is responsible for providing high-quality repair service on heavy equipment in a shop environment, in order to respond to customer needs in a positive, caring, and timely manner and to ensure maximum value for work performed. Must have 3 years experience on heavy construction equipment. The hours of the position are Monday-Friday, 7 AM - 4 PM. There is a sign on bonus for qualified candidates.

Qualifications:

A qualified candidate must have the following skills or abilities:



  • Troubleshoot and perform complex repairs correctly in the shop such as pumps, hydraulic, engine, transmissions, HVAC, and electrical issues and repairs.
  • At least 3 years of field or shop service tech troubleshooting and repair skills of heavy equipment such as dozers, backhoes, front-end loaders, excavators, etc.
  • Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair equipment using electronic and manual equipment to determine failure.
  • Ability to troubleshoot Tier 4 Final Emissions Systems
  • Ability to troubleshoot Exhaust Gas Recirculation Systems
  • Able to document all work orders properly
  • GED or High School Diploma preferred.
  • Diesel Tech Schooling is highly desired.
  • Must have a steady employment history.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.
  • Must have the ability to obtain a forklift license.

  • Ability to frequently reach, bend, walk, etc.


  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds, approximately 5 times a day.

  • Able to stand and walk for extended periods.



  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy is required.


  • Excellent attendance is required.
  • Must be able to work Monday-Friday -7 AM - 4 PM.
  • Ability to be productive by working efficiently and effectively with a high energy level.
  • Ability to work with limited supervision.
  • Must have own tools.
