THE JOB:

It is the primary responsibility of the Assistant Executive Housekeeper at Aria to manage all operations for assigned areas within Housekeeping, and to perform all assigned functions/duties in accordance with established guidelines/ procedures.

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

  • Oversee assigned operational functions in alignment with the strategic plan and vision for the department, division, and property.

  • Ensure the consistent delivery and measurement of guest service standards within Housekeeping, adhering to the company's established guidelines and expectations.

  • Lead the research, development, evaluation, and implementation of new products, services, technologies, and processes to maintain a competitive edge and meet evolving guest needs in the dynamic hospitality and gaming environment.

  • Manage all Human Resources responsibilities for Housekeeping, including recruitment, performance management, and employee relations.

  • Mentor and coach Housekeeping Floor Managers, providing them with additional responsibilities and development opportunities to promote career growth.

  • Assume full responsibility for the Executive Housekeeper's duties in their absence.

  • Foster a team-oriented culture, emphasizing the importance of delivering exceptional service and maintaining a commitment to excellence.

  • Ensure compliance with guest service standards, departmental policies, and procedures, identifying and correcting inefficiencies or issues that hinder service excellence.

  • Oversee accountability processes, ensuring adherence to budgetary guidelines, company policies, departmental standards, and legal requirements.

  • Manage both short- and long-term departmental objectives, documenting and communicating any issues that could impact future goals to the Executive Housekeeper.

  • Continuously assess staffing levels based on business demands and recommend appropriate adjustments.

  • Respond promptly and professionally to guest interactions, ensuring effective problem resolution and positive guest experiences.

  • Conduct daily room inspections to verify that Housekeeping Floor Managers and Guest Room Attendants meet sanitation and quality standards.

  • Train and support Housekeeping Floor Managers to perform room inspections in accordance with quality assurance guidelines.

  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with all departments to enhance collaboration and service delivery.

  • Collaborate with Scheduling Attendants to ensure all bidding processes for positions within assigned areas are handled efficiently and in compliance with policies, procedures, and timelines.

  • Represent management during unemployment hearings, union grievances, arbitrations, and other relevant meetings, as required.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in a related field.

  • 2+ Years of Prior Relevant Experiencein Housekeeping.

  • 3+ Years of Prior Relevant Supervisory experience in a major hotel/resort complex.

  • 1+ Years of Prior Relevant Supervisory experience in a Union (bargaining unit) property.

  • Fluency in English required; fluency in secondary (Spanish) language.
