Vehicle Communication Data/Network Maintenance Instructor
Camp Lejeune, NC Summary: ATS is seeking a technically proficient Vehicle Communication Data/Network Maintenance Instructor to join the Amphibious Combat Vehicle (ACV) New Equipment Training Team (NETT), supporting the Program Manager Advanced Amphibious Assault (PM AAA). This role focuses on training Marines to install, operate, troubleshoot, and maintain the ACV's advanced communications and data network systems used for command and control (C2). Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive training on:
- Internetworking fundamentals
- Configuration management
- Diagnostics and troubleshooting of ACV-mounted communication suites
- Removal/replacement of Line Replaceable Units (LRUs) and system components
- Preventative maintenance procedures on communications systems
- Train service members on tactical and enterprise communication platforms, including:
- Secret Internet Protocol Router Network (SIPRNet)
- Non-secure Internet Protocol Router Network (NIPRNet)
- Microsoft-based servers and tools
- Cisco CCNA modules 1-3
- Mission-specific communication systems
- Update and maintain training curriculum, lesson plans, technical references, and evaluation tools.
- Maintain and deliver cryptographic key support, including:
- Filling electronic encryption devices
- Submitting test and evaluation frequency requests
- Supporting COMSEC material management and KMI procedures
- Interface with NETT personnel for Crypto Controlled Item (CCI) accountability, equipment inventory, and system readiness.
- Ensure compliance with all technical and safety protocols during instruction and system handling.
Basic Qualifications:
- U.S. Citizen with an active Secret Security Clearance.
- At least 7 years of experience training service members in military communications or networking systems.
- Completion of the Marine Corps Instructor Development Course (IDC) or equivalent.
- Strong foundation in network systems, diagnostics, and C2 platform operations.
- Proficient in technical documentation, instructional delivery, and hands-on equipment maintenance.
- Capable of performing all duties while wearing required PPE and participating in amphibious operations, including passing swim and Underwater Egress Trainer (UET) qualifications.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or equivalent network certification.
- Experience with ACV C2 platforms and related secure communications systems.
- Prior military experience as a communications maintainer or network technician.
- Familiarity with COMSEC program management, KMI procedures, and USMC communication doctrine.
- Prior military experience within the Stryker Combat Vehicle community as a communicator

Travel Required: Yes 50% Working Environment: The usual daily work conditions will be in an office environment located at Camp Lejeune, NC. The job requires occasional lifting of computer and other equipment, generally not in excess of 50 lbs., usually in connection with equipment transport to off-site locations for exercise events. This job also requires field time where the instructor will be required to supervise students from the Vehicle Commanders Station of an ACV during field exercises in the land and on water. The Instructor will be required to wear all PPE for extended periods of time when in the field. The exercise support staff typically travels with a high degree of frequency. Travel to training exercise locations regularly includes CONUS, its territories, with occasional international travel. Exercise duty may include extended work periods beyond 12 hours; air travel in excess of 18 hours on a single aircraft; outdoor working conditions; and driving for extended periods to work sites.
