Meet the Team Acacia Communications Inc., a leader in disruptive optical and coherent technology, is currently seeking a Device Verification Test (DVT) Engineer to design and run automated testing of Photonic Integrated Circuits (PICs), assist development teams with design specifications, and improve production yields. Your Impact Reporting into Acacia/Cisco Device Verification Test group, this engineer will work closely with our integrated silicon photonics, optical packaging, ASIC development, and the operations teams to deliver leading edge, high-yielding, high-throughput processes across Acacia/Cisco product line of optoelectronic components and modules. New product introduction - work closely with RF, silicon photonics, DSP, and module design teams to debug and bring-up new PICs and modules Develop test algorithms and calibration procedures Define and execute design verification test plans Be responsible for design verification documentation Support PIC level failure analysis and troubleshooting Minimum Qualifications: PhD or MS in engineering or similar field with 5-10 years of relevant experience (Exceptional PhD graduates can be considered for junior level position) Solid lab skills Knowledge of optical communications, including PAM4 and coherent optical communications Experience with basic fiber optics components and test and measurement equipment Experience with high bandwidth RF, EO/OE testing Experience with client optics DSP, SerDes, and its testing Knowledge of software and test automation, especially based on Python Knowledge of DAC/ADC operations and controls Experience presenting technical information to technical and non-technical audiences.
