About the Role Culmen International is seeking an Intelligence Analyst for an upcoming Department of Justice opportunity supporting the Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Forces Program. The Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Forces (OCDETF) Program was established in 1982 as a collaborative national initiative involving multiple agencies. Its primary aim is to conduct thorough, intelligence-driven investigations into significant criminal organizations engaged in drug trafficking and the laundering of illicit proceeds. The OCDETF Program serves as a cornerstone of the Department of Justice's counternarcotics strategy, utilizing prosecutor-led, multi-agency task forces to address the challenges posed by prominent drug cartels. The overarching mission of the OCDETF Program is to reduce the availability of illegal drugs within the United States while also mitigating the violence and other criminal activities that frequently accompany the drug trade. What You'll Do in Your New Role This position represents a vital technical authority in various intelligence disciplines, contributing significantly to the planning, coordination, and synthesis of research conducted by fellow Intelligence Analysts. The incumbent is entrusted with the preparation and dissemination of all-source intelligence products, ensuring that incoming intelligence is carefully evaluated, and pertinent data is communicated to the Senior Intelligence Officer.
The role includes engaging in briefings to present intelligence assessments, thereby aligning team outputs with national-level requirements. Providing technical guidance and conducting thorough research related to intelligence, counterintelligence, counternarcotics, and organized crime is also a crucial aspect of this position.
Furthermore, this role takes the lead in preparing and implementing intelligence production activities in support of Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Force (OCDETF) operations. The individual is responsible for developing insightful intelligence estimates and coordinating the drafting and revision of comprehensive intelligence plans.
Collaboration with counterparts across other intelligence departments is essential, as the incumbent acts as a liaison for both exercises and real-world operations. Through proactive development of plans and strategies, this position addresses the evolving requirements for intelligence communications, networks, equipment, and training, fostering a cohesive and effective intelligence community.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree with 8 years of experience, or a Master's Degree with 6 years of experience in one or more intelligence disciplines.
