Segment Risk Specialist

Genesis10 is seeking a Segment Risk Specialist: IV (Lead) for a 4-month hybrid contract position with a leading client in Columbus, OH. This role can be located in Columbus, OH or Charlotte, NC.

Compensation: $50-60 per hour W2.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their operational processes and activities and translate these into clear and concise risk management policies and procedures.
• Manage the policy and procedure project end-to-end.
• Analyze risk controls and identify potential gaps or areas for improvement within existing policies and processes.
• Develop and document policies and procedures related to operational risk management, ensuring that they are both effective and aligned with business objectives.
• Ensure all policies and procedures meet compliance standards and industry best practices.
• Assist in the creation of training materials or guidelines to ensure employees understand and follow the documented policies.
• Provide ongoing support to business stakeholders by advising on risk-related matters and updates to policies and procedures.
• Conduct risk assessments

Requirements:

• 5+ years' experience in a risk management, audit, or operational risk role, preferably in a corporate or consulting environment.
• Proven experience in developing, documenting, and implementing policies and procedures related to risk management.
• Strong understanding of operational risk, internal controls, and risk mitigation strategies.
• Solid experience in auditing and assessing risk processes for effectiveness and compliance.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization
• Experience working in Operational Risk or Audit at a Financial Institution
