Job Summary: The Procurement Manager will play an integral role in managing and controlling the Firm's Indirect spend through commodity/category and contract management tactics. This role will be responsible for developing a Professional Services and Consulting commodity/category strategy, setting our strategic direction related to managing and controlling spend across the enterprise. The Procurement Manager will utilize procurement/sourcing techniques, contract negotiation and advanced supplier management methods in order to execute upon their commodity strategy. This role will have management responsibility. Job Duties: Commodity/Category Strategy Development and Execution:
- Perform spend & market analysis and be able to translate that into strategy
- Provide market insights when needed
- Create innovative strategies for cost reductions, quality, and delivery
Sourcing through Request for Proposal (RFP), Request for Information (RFI) and Request for Quotations (RFQ):
- Collaborate with internal business partners to determine requirements
- Develop sourcing strategies, based on market analysis, trends, and total cost of ownership
- Utilize cost analysis and comparative bid analysis
Supplier Management:
- Provide measurement of supplier conduct and performance as needed
- Conduct periodic supplier business reviews
- Issue resolution, performance, delivery, corrective and preventative action
- Monitor supplier compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements
Drafting, negotiating and executing contractual documents including but not limited to Master Service Agreements, Statements of Work, and Letter Agreements:
- Successfully negotiate single transactions and longer term commitments
- Lead major contract negotiations
Other:
- Provide professional summaries and recommendations
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Monitors and provides performance feedback of all personnel reporting to this position
- Ensures all direct reports are effectively trained on systems and processes
- Assists direct reports with prioritization of workload, communications, etc. and delegates work assignments to direct reports as appropriate
Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Education:
- Bachelors' degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or other related field OR equivalent work experience, required
Experience:
- Five (5) or more years of experience working in a purchasing/procurement role required with a degree
- Ten (10) or more years of experience working in a purchasing/procurement role required without a degree
- Prior experience negotiating terms and contracts with various providers, required
- Prior sourcing experience and expertise with drafting and driving complex RFP's, required
- Prior experience with drafting contract agreements, required
- Prior experience working within a professional services firm such as accounting, financial services, business advisory, and/or banking industries, preferred
License/Certifications:
- C.P.M. (Certified Professional in Supply Management - CPSM) certification, preferred
Software:
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word and Excel, required
- PeopleSoft Financials or similar software experience, preferred
- Proficient in online ordering and data management systems, preferred
