Acara Solutions is seeking highly qualified candidates to work ON-SITE with our client in Orlando, FL. Interested?

Here's what you'd do:

  • Performs the inspection of fabricated, forged, and machined parts, subassemblies, and tools.
  • Performs in-process and final inspections on mechanical, composite, and electro-mechanical hardware and integrated systems.
  • Inspects tooling, composites, machined parts, and subassemblies for dimensional conformity, artistry, operation sequence, and adherence to design requirements and specifications in coordination with associated tooling and parts.
  • Performs periodic checks and inspections involving GD&T calculations on various precision measuring instruments.
  • Accepts or rejects items per specifications and engineering drawings.
  • Plans and conducts necessary inspection layout and setup of parts and tools according to tool design, engineering, and manufacturing requirements.
  • Select proper equipment, supplies, and materials. Sets up parts and equipment to conduct inspection.
  • This varies setup and re-inspects until the needed conditions and results are obtained.
  • This includes the most complex types of jigs, tool masters, fixtures, and machine tools involving many closely coordinated locating points, dimensions, tooling holes, and several planes not at right angles or parallel to one another.
  • Inspect castings, forgings, machine parts, and subassemblies with compound angles, related dimensions, reverse curves, and compound angles to conform to specifications and engineering drawings.
  • Sets up castings, jigs, fixtures, machine parts, and tooling on a Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM), surface plate or table, angle plate, sine plate, rotary or tilting table, or other state-of-the-art equipment suitable for taking precision measurements.
  • Checks dimensions such as hole patterns, trim lines, parallelism, and other GD&T specifications.
  • Establishes reference points from which to measure and verify the dimensional accuracy of the many interrelated and coordinated datums in different planes involving close tolerance relationships to each other or a single datum, making multiple setups where necessary to determine dimensional acceptability.
  • Computes auxiliary dimensions and datum, checks alignment, radii, and angles, and often works from technical data.
  • Conducts inspection of first piece parts and first article parts in detail.
  • Documents information in electronic systems as needed.
  • Inspects mechanical assemblies utilizing Coordinate Measurement Machines (CMMs).
  • Inspects for structural flaws and checks critical dimensions to close tolerances, requiring proficient knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing.
  • Competently using computers and other systems to access, maintain, and input data.

Here's what you'll get:

Pay: $34.57 / hr.

Hours: 4/10 hrs/Week. (2nd shift)

Length: Contract (4 months).

Job Requirements
Required Skills / Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in Tool Fabrication.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in CMM.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in GD&T.
