About This Role
What You'll Do: Guide Undergraduate and Graduate international applicants through the admissions process, from inquiry to enrollment. Develop and execute creative strategies to engage prospective students. Collaborate with faculty and staff to showcase our top-tier graduate programs. Use data and trends to optimize recruitment efforts. Be the face of K-State at international and domestic fairs, visits to high schools and universities, and virtual events. What We're Looking For: A people-person with excellent communication skills. Experience in recruitment, admissions, or related fields. Organized, detail-oriented, and able to juggle multiple tasks. Tech-savvy and comfortable with CRM systems. What You'll Need to Succeed Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree Preferred Qualifications: Prior work experience in seeking, attracting, and successfully recruiting prospective international students (domestically and/or internationally), with the goal of significantly increasing international student enrollment at Kansas State University. Experience working in a higher education environment. Ability to travel abroad for periods of time. Provide positive and proactive customer service to families and international students at all stages in the application process. Proficiency in language(s) other than English. Experience living/studying in other countries and cultures and working with non-native English speakers. Experience with learning management systems, electronic calendaring systems, and web-based customer relations management or recruitment programs Well-developed computer skills including the use of Microsoft Office programs such as Access, Excel and Word Experience appropriately handling confidential information Excellent oral and written communication skills with strong attention to detail Familiarity with educational student services Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks efficiently and effectively to meet deadlines Demonstrated success working independently as well as in a team environment Demonstrated dependability and strong customer service experience Ability to understand, interpret and implement policy and procedures, to think creatively, to problem solve effectively, and to comprise effective recruitment and yield strategies Ability to work with a wide variety of clientele, to establish and maintain effective working relationships, and to handle the demands of multiple deadlines and interruptions Ability to set-up a display booth including backdrop and collateral materials This position requires significant international travel. Ability to occasionally work outside of typical business hours on an as-needed basis is required for work with individuals in different time zones. Evening and/or weekend hours may be necessitated by international travel, project deadlines, or special events. Other Requirements:
