Description
Summary Provide engineering support for the machines and facilities involved in the prepreg manufacturing process as assigned. Troubleshooting and solving operational problems as they arise, develop and maintain the key operational characteristics of the machinery and facility. Assist, provide and implement engineering solutions to maintenance and safety related issues as assigned. Assist with process, machine and automation related improvements to increase efficiency and reliability. This will be a paid internship at the rate of $27.50 per hour. Duties and Responsibilities

Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Job tasks are usually performed in an office/manufacturing environment. Position requires the ability to read, write, speak and understand English at a level necessary to successfully perform assigned responsibilities. Position occasionally requires the ability to make quick decisions related to prepreg process issues. Ability to set priorities. Ability to utilize interpersonal and teamwork skills. Ability to perform advanced mathematical computations such as statistics, differential calculus, integral calculus, etc. Ability to give complete directions and to understand and apply work specifications in the completion of work tasks. The ability to hear, speak, use hands/fingers and the repetitive motions of hands/wrists are frequent. Ability to occasionally lift up to 40 pounds. Vision abilities require the adjustment and focus of sight. Job tasks are performed in a plant environment that includes the presence of epoxies, resins and other chemicals with occasional work in office/indoor environment. Position requires the ability to occasionally work in excess of 40 hours per week. Position requires the ability to occasionally work nights and weekends.
